Hey. I'm 17 and just got into this hobby. So, I probably need some help as a stater. first of all, what should be my first purchase? I was thinking of revo 3.3 or savage x4.6 but since I started reading the forums I thought a truggy would be most appropriate. What do you think I should buy?

Welcome to the forum. Now you are here, same name being using in other forum and I've reading and make some comments there on your post. Yep, if you want to get into racing better to get a truggy so that you can join us on the track. I hope to see you there in the track.

Welcome to the forums, and hopefully the race track...
As to which buggie, truggie, ask 10 guys and you will have 11 opinions...
That said you need to decide what you are going to do first.
Ie race on the track we have, just bash around in the desert etc.....and how deep your pockets are..
Your best option is come down to the track, see what the other guys are racing, ask around
Make a informed choice, then buy what you need hopefully the 1st time..

Welcome!
As Nitro rig said, it all depends on what you want to do, bash or race.
Once you decided that it depends how deep your pockets are and how technically inclined you are. Do you just enjoy driving the car or do you also like to fix, modify and of course there will be repair bills, and maintenance costs just like a real car.
One thing I would recommend that if you are starting out, go for an Electric setup, easier to use and enjoy, less hassle, and quiet so you can have fun on the street or park and not bother anyone Smile

If I were to buy a truck like the revo 3.3, where can I drive it? Can I drive it on the track or is it strictly for buggy/truggy?

hello drragonx! of course you can drive it on the track. . . only thing is, you won't be able to race it on racing events. . . as race categories are only for buggies and truggies. . . . unless more people will come with revos and we might be able to open up a class for it. . . Very Happy

Hi Drragonx, since you are starting the hooby, better buy a good second hand buggy or truggy say a hongnor, mugen, losi or kyosho. You can get un upgraded used buggy or truggy at a good price... and you can race it on race events if you want to participate...

Hi Drragonx,

If you're interested I've got a Jammin x2crt pro Truggy I will be selling, which would be a great tough Truggy to start with. I've got enough spare kit to get you off and running (radio etc.)

It will be much better for you on our track than a revo.

PM me if you're interested

drragonx you will have a hard time using a savage X in speedhobies track... it is not the right kit for the offroad track.....
